A week or so ago I was doodling with pencil and paper trying to catch the kids attention to do some drawing (they were running round like loons and I fancied doing a quieter activity!). I did manage to engage them and this is what we did:
We “took a line for a walk” around the paper and then coloured in our doodle, trying to make sure we didn’t get the same colour in adjacent gaps. Well, that was the plan anyway and that was what me and Thomas did. Jasmine coloured in a “story” involving the sea, some sand, a forest and a big muddy puddle!!!
Today I have finally got round to laminating them ready to use for dinner as our previous home made placemats (involving cutting and sticking from CBeebies magazines) are getting far to worn!
